Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the use of StreamGiveawayBox ("the Service", "the tool"). By signing in with Twitch, using the dashboard, joining a giveaway via chat command, or otherwise interacting with the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What StreamGiveawayBox Does
StreamGiveawayBox lets a Twitch broadcaster run chat-based giveaways on their stream. After signing in with Twitch, a broadcaster gets their own dashboard to configure prizes, chat commands, and overlay appearance, and the Service connects a chat bot to their channel. Viewers join a giveaway by typing a chat command; the broadcaster draws a winner, shown live via an animated overlay (intended for OBS or similar broadcast software). The Service also keeps an optional winner history and leaderboard.
The Service is multi-tenant: each broadcaster who signs in gets their own separate, isolated setup (prizes, sounds, chat bot connection, history). Broadcasters do not see or affect each other's data.
2. Who Can Use It
2.1 Broadcasters
If you sign in with Twitch and use the dashboard to run giveaways, you are responsible for:
- complying with the Twitch Terms of Service and Community Guidelines,
- complying with any law applicable to you that governs giveaways, sweepstakes, or promotions on your stream (rules on this vary by country/region — StreamGiveawayBox is a display and drawing tool, not legal advice on running a compliant giveaway),
- the prizes you offer and actually delivering them to winners — StreamGiveawayBox only draws and displays a winner; it is not involved in prize fulfillment and has no visibility into or responsibility for whether a prize is actually delivered,
- informing your viewers about how your giveaway works and what data is collected from participants (see the Privacy Policy),
- the content you upload (custom images, sound files) — it must be yours to use and must not be illegal, infringing, or abusive.
2.2 Viewers / Participants
If you join a giveaway via chat command, you agree to:
- only use your own Twitch account,
- follow the individual broadcaster's own rules for their giveaway,
- not attempt to enter multiple times through multiple accounts or automation where the broadcaster's rules or the join command's restrictions (e.g. followers/subscribers only) don't allow it.
2.3 Age
You must meet the minimum age required by Twitch and by the laws applicable to you to use a service like this one.
3. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to:
- abuse, spam, or overload the Service or Twitch's API/chat systems,
- circumvent join restrictions, claim windows, or other giveaway rules through automation or multiple accounts,
- upload or link to illegal, infringing, or abusive content,
- use the Service for fraud, harassment, or any unlawful purpose,
- attempt to access another broadcaster's tenant, data, or Twitch connection.
Violations may result in the session or account being disconnected or blocked from the Service.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties, in particular:
- Twitch — for sign-in (OAuth), chat connectivity (IRC), and follower checks,
- Railway — for hosting the Service and its persistent data.
These providers' own terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the interaction. The operator is not responsible for outages, changes, or issues originating from Twitch, Railway, or your internet connection.
5. No Official Affiliation
StreamGiveawayBox is an independent, unofficial project. There is no official partnership with or endorsement by Twitch Interactive, Inc. or any game publisher whose assets a broadcaster might reference in their overlay theme. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
6. Availability, Changes & Discontinuation
StreamGiveawayBox is a free, private, non-commercial project run without a service-level agreement. To the extent permitted by law:
- The operator may change, limit, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time — for cost, technical, or personal reasons — without notice and without compensation.
- There is no guarantee of uptime, of any particular feature remaining available, or of data being kept indefinitely.
- Outages caused by Twitch, Railway, or the internet are not the operator's responsibility.
7. Liability & Warranty
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law:
- no warranty is given for correctness, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose,
- the operator is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, lost winnings, disputes between a broadcaster and their viewers, or undelivered prizes — prize fulfillment is entirely between the broadcaster and the winner,
- liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected where the law requires it.
8. Termination
- You can stop using the Service, sign out, or disconnect the chat bot at any time from your dashboard.
- The operator may suspend or delete a tenant's access or data at any time, in particular in cases of misuse, cost, technical necessity, or discontinuation of the project.

10. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as the Service changes. The "Effective" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The invalid provision is replaced by one that comes closest to its intended economic and legal purpose.
